The reading will define energy and discuss topics such as (1) Forms of energy, (2) Kinetic energy (electrical, radiant, thermal, motion, and sound), (3) Potential energy (Chemical, Stored Mechanical, Nuclear, and Gravitational), (4) Conservation of energy, (5) Energy efficiency, and (6) Sources of Energy (renewable and nonrenewable). The document also depicts illustrations of energy transformations and U.S. energy consumption by source.
