| Abstract: | This site has interactive math activities, games, and projects dealing with tessellations, symmetry, polygons, polyhedrea, conversions, number stories, multiplication, estimation, probability, money, number riddles, magic squares, and fractions. Students can submit art work to the Math Cats Art Gallery and they can email drawings, story problems, ideas, and questions. Teachers and parents can sign up for Math Cats News, a free twice monthly e-mail newsletter that features Math Cat updates, annotated listings of other math sites which promote creative explorations, suggestions for family math activities and classroom activities, and good ideas from other educators. An idea bank of activities and resources that have been suggested by teachers and an archive of past questions and answers from the Magic Chalkboard can be found. |
